Biographical notes
I was born 1970 in Essen, Germany, 15 minutes after my twin sister.
In our family, showbiz has tradition—my grandmother was a well-known stage actress, and so is my mother. In my childhood, I started gathering experiences as voice talent for radio plays, child model and TV actor. My vocation as a performer, however, soon took a turn to be a creative force behind the scenes to help other artists make the best of their ideas, concepts and projects.
After working as an assistant director in various stage productions I switched to media production, particularly broadcast-TV. I made an internship in video editing and went to school to study media production.
After that, things started happening really quickly: my first big chance to prove myself was as editorial assistant with “Jeopardy”. Positions as Content Manager, Head of the Editorial Department, Author, Associate Producer and Director followed. Only years later, I produced major event and game shows. This occupation is one of the fastest and most versatile jobs in the world—exactly to my liking!
My second passion I discovered at the age of nine when I read my first book on stage magic. Ever since, I have been intensely under the spell of “magic”. My biggest challenge is the collaboration with stage magicians as a producer and director rather than being on stage myself. For me, it is the dramaturgy of the show, which makes the art of magic truly miraculous and allows it to tell its marvelous stories.
